The ACPA Ambassadors Program is currently recruiting graduate students and new professionals to serve as ACPA Ambassadors for the upcoming year (term length: Start of the Academic Year – ACPA Convention Columbus in 2017).   
What are ACPA Ambassadors?
Ambassadors are graduate students and new professionals working on campuses across the country to create networking opportunities and expand the knowledge of ACPA. They are the lifeline connecting their institution to ACPA and other institutions across the country. Ambassadors build and maintain a community within ACPA that focuses on innovative ideas and knowledge sharing. In addition to all that, Ambassadors have many opportunities to get connected with other committees and commissions, contribute to ACPA publications, and host networking events in their regions. This opportunity is also intended to serve as an initial leadership position to prepare you for future leadership roles in ACPA.
What does the position entail?
  • Provide a personal link between ACPA and campuses nationwide
  • Ambassadors are proactive individuals that are actively engaged with the association while keeping professionals at their campuses educated about ACPA opportunities
  • Create and participate in valuable networking, leadership, and career development opportunities
  • Contribute to a student affairs community that focuses on the exchange of innovative ideas and practices
  • Participate in monthly conference calls
  • Network with professionals across the country
  • Demonstrate self-motivation and ability to function autonomously in order to be successful in this position
